The night always attracted you. Something about it made you crave to feel the cool air brush your skin and walk a path lit in moonlight. The small village you lived in was the perfect place for that. Even if you had to dress as a boy should you ever get caught.
However, you weren't stupid, so you only took paths that brushed against the woods and that lead to the church. It may have just been superstition, but you never knew what could be lurking out in the dark.
Yet again, you were out for one of your moonlit strolls. You had snuck clothes from your brother's drawers and secretly tailored them every night until they fit your slender frame. Your brother was a worker in the fields, so he was quite bulky. You had also tucked your hair up under a cap so that nobody would suspect anything. Only your bangs hung down just before your eyes.
The full moon was out, illuminating the pathway to the church. You would only walk up to the church and then back. The church itself was rested upon a hill and surrounded by woods. the only thing that wasn't surrounded was the fields that most of the men tended to each day.
You could practically see the church now. It was the part of the path that brushed the woods and started up the hill. The smell of crisp night air went past your nose. Along with it came another scent. This one was less appealing. It smelled slightly salty or rusty.
You cringed when you figured out where you knew it from. It was the scent of blood.
"Hello there, young lady." A voice came from somewhere within the trees. You froze. Their voice sent shivers down your spine. Not only that, they saw through your disguse.
"Hm, you don't speak much do you?" You could practically hear the grin in his voice. You looked around, trying to find out where the voice was coming from. Panic was starting to build within you.
"Where are you?" You looked around and spotted a pair of crimson eyes gazing back at you. You stepped back a little.
"I'm terribly sorry. I can see you, but you can't see me. That's hardly fair." And so a man stepped out of the shadows. He had on a dark blue jacket that went a little farther than his waist. His black books went up to his knees and tan pants were neatly tucked into them. A small top hat was resting in his light brown hair. Three small ribbons poked out from under the hat, onre red and one white. He wore black gloves on his hands. It might just ahve been the may the moonlight was hitting him, but his skin seemed deathly pale. You felt a little bit of the panic leave. This man was quite attractive.
That is, until he smiled at you. Your heart almost stopped when you saw his fangs gleam in the light. Now the panic was back and worse than last time. You wanted to run, but your legs seemed like lead. Where would you run anyways. You couldn't risk leading him back home, and he was blocking the way to the church. Your only option would be the woods.
"May I ask why you are dressed as you are?" He started to come closer to you. "Or more importantly, why you are out at night. Scary things hide in the dark, you know."
Your legs started to work as you took off into the trees. You could practically hear his laughing from behind you, but that didn't matter. All you needed to do was get as far from that man as you could. The pounding in your ears made it hard to hear anything else. Trees and bushes tried to block your path, but you just ran another way.
After a while, you figured that you had lost him. You were gasping for breath and whatever reserves of energy you had, you had used in your escape. There was a small clearing in front of you, so you leaned against one of the trees and tried to calm yourself down. Even when you strained your ears, you could only hear the wind blowing through the tree tops.
"Well, I do love a good chase." You whipped around. Standing there was the man. It wasn't possible. There had been no sound from behind you, and you were sure of it.
"What do you want from me?" You tried to back up, but one of your legs buckled from under you. Before you could hit the ground, he closed the distance between the two of you and caught you in his arms. His face was just inches from your own. He grinned, showing off his fangs once again.
"Do you really want to know?" Before you could answer, he pressed his lips to your own. A huge blush appeared on your face and your eyes widened. He smirked against your lips and you could feel his fangs brush against them. A shiver went down your spine.
He pulled away from you, letting you stand by yourself. You felt like you could possible fall back down. Your heart was on over-drive. It felt like it was going to pound right out of your chest. You found yourself staring into his hypnotic eyes. They seemed to gleam in the moonlight.
"I take it you liked that as well?" He tilted his head, breaking you from your trance. You nodded your head. To be honest, that had been your first kiss.
"Then this might be even better." He held you in his arms again and lowered his face to your neck. You froze. You had a pretty good guess as to what was going to happen next.
There was two sharp pains in your neck, but you couldn't do anything about it. You just stood there, paralized. It couldn't be possible; this wasn't happening. Sometime soon, you were going to wake up from this bizzare dream and laugh about it.
But that time never came. You could feel your life being sapped away, slowly but surely. You didn't want to die now, not when you didn't even have a chance to say goodbye.
The feeling at your neck stopped, but only breifly. Now it seemed as if your entire body was shutting down. Body parts soon became numb and you could feel your senses being dulled until it all faded to black.

Sunlight peeked under your eyelids, forcing you awake. You sat up on the bed and looked around the room. It took you a while before you remembered what had happened last night. Panic invaded again and you put a hand up to your mouth. Just as you suspected, two teeth were protruding from the rest on either side, each being abnormally sharp. From what you could see, your skin had gotten paler already.
Wait a second. If you were now a vampire, why did you feel perfectly normal in the sunlight that shone through the window?
"That part is just a myth, about us not being able to be in sunlight." The man from before spoke, letting you know he was in the room.
"What? Can you read my thoughts now?" You asked, trying to put as much hate in as you could. Although, it didn't work out very well.
"Oh, so now you can speak?" He looked at you with a devilish grin plastered on his face. "It was just the look on your face." He paused for a secon before continuing,"I'm sorry. I never formally introduced myself. My name is William Harvey. And you?"
"________ ________" You grumbled. It felt wierd to have the fangs brush the insides of your cheek whenever you talked. "So, why did you turn me into a vampire?" If you were going to stay like this, you at least wanted to know the reason.
"Well, _______, whenever a vampire wants to mate with a human, they always turn them." Your face turned beet red.
"Wow, slow down! We only just met!" The idea of "mating" so soon was a frightening one.
"But I've had my eye on you for years now. I've seen you taking your strolls in the nightt and made sure that nothing harmed you. I don't think I can wait any longer." He came and sat next to you. He took your hand in his and brought it to his mouth for a gentle kiss. If possible, the blush got even darker.
"Even if that is so, I'm not ready for that. Maybe after a while, but not this soon." His face brightened at your reply.
"So that means I get a chance?"
You had to admit, you had feelings for this vampire. Even if you hated yourself for them, they most likely wouldn't go away.
"Yes, but only if we can take things slow." William got so exited that he gave you a quick kiss on the lips. Maybe he just didn't get the definition of "slow". That idiot vampire.
Then you thought,"Well, I guess he's MY idiot vampire now." It made you giggle, and you leaned into his chest. Things might not be so bad, now that you felt safe once more.

[link] I blame this.
This takes place a LOONG time ago, if you haven't noticed by now.
I'm so sorry that this probably sucks, but it was my first time writing vampire stuff. And Romania needs more love!
No, I did not relate this to twilight in any way. Sure, they were nice books, but the movies just ruined them. And Romania doesn't sparkle!!
I'll probably keep this as a one-shot. Cuz I FEEL like it!
Anyways, I hope your eyes didn't bleed TOO much after reading this.
